Mr. Lerer is a Vice President in the Real Estate Valuation and Advisory Services practice within Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Some of Mr. Lerer’s notable engagements include the valuation support for a $900 million mixed-use portfolio in South Florida; the valuation of more than 30 self-storage facilities and over 20 self-storage facility development loans for a major REIT as part of a take-private transaction; and the valuation of more than 65 affordable housing assets with over 10,000 units across the country.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Lerer was an investment analyst in the NNN Pro Group at Marcus & Millichap, the largest triple net investment sales group in the country. While there, he specialized in sale-leaseback and asset and disposition programs for some of the most recognized retail franchisees, REITs, developers, private equity firms, and investment and asset managers. Before that, Mr. Lerer was an Associate at AllianceBernstein, where he managed an investment team and oversaw approximately $1.5 billion in assets.
Mr. Lerer holds a B.A. in Economics from Yeshiva University and an M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
