Mr. Grünwald is a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Consumer Group and also serves as Co-Head of Corporate Finance, Europe. He has more than two decades of corporate finance and capital markets experience. Mr. Grünwald focuses on M&A and the PE industry, and he has particularly strong expertise in the areas of digital, media, internet, technology, telecommunications, retail, and consumer goods. He is based in the firm’s Zurich office.
Previously, Mr. Grünwald was a Managing Director at GCA Altium, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to joining GCA in 2003, he was Managing Director of Marchfifteen, Austria’s leading new media and technology fund, which he co-founded after working as the Managing Director of the Austrian branch of Chiquita P.G.D.
Mr. Grünwald is a member of the steering committee of digitalswitzerland, a cross-industry association that aims to strengthen the country’s position as a digital hub. He is also a Chairman of the Mary Bendet Foundation.
Mr. Grünwald holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston University and is a graduate of Wirtschaftsuniversität Vienna.
