Mr. Hilton is a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey and is based in the firm’s San Francisco office. His experience covers Japan–U.S. cross-border M&A transactions.
Over his more than 30-year investment banking career, Mr. Hilton has led the origination and execution of more than 100 Asia-U.S. cross-border M&A advisory transactions.
Previously, Mr. Hilton was a Managing Director and led the Japan desk at GCA Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to GCA, from 1993 to 2014, he was part of the same group of affiliates as a Managing Director at DC Advisory (fka Sagent Advisors, LLC), where he led the firm’s Japan Asia practice in New York; a Managing Director and Head of M&A at Daiwa Securities America; and Head of M&A for the U.S. and Europe at SMBC (fka The Sakura Bank.) Earlier in Mr. Hilton’s career, he was Head of North American M&A for AEG Corp., a subsidiary of Daimler-Benz, and worked in the M&A and private equity divisions of Charterhouse in New York and London.
Mr. Hilton holds a B.A. in Economics from Manchester University and an MBA from New York University, where he was first in his class.
