
Mr. Cochran is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Services Group. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Mr. Cochran’s transaction experience prior to joining Houlihan Lokey includes advising DOXA Insurance on its sale to Goldman Sachs; Breckenridge Insurance on its sale to AssuredPartners; Strategic Risk Solutions on its partnership with Integrum; American Guardian Warranty Services on its sale to Reynolds and Reynolds; Tokio Marine Highlands on its sale to Intact Specialty; Atlas Merchant Capital on its acquisition of Marsh Berry; International Transport & Marine Agency on its sale to MS Amlin; Team Focus Insurance Group on its sale to Peak6 Investments; HGGC on its acquisition of PCF Insurance Services; IAS on its sale to iA Financial Group; ClearView Risk Holdings on its sale to The Amynta Group; Relation Insurance Services on its sale to Aquiline; and Propel Insurance on its recapitalization by Flexpoint Ford, among others.
Previously, Mr. Cochran was a Managing Director at Waller Helms Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2024. At Waller Helms Advisors, he focused on the insurance sector and specialized in advising on M&A, capital-raising, and other corporate finance engagements primarily for specialty insurance distribution companies, which include retail brokers, wholesale brokers, managing general agencies, captive managers, and warranty TPAs. Before that, Mr. Cochran worked within the Financial Sponsor Coverage and Leveraged Finance Group at Macquarie Capital, where he executed numerous leveraged buyouts in the insurance industry, among others.
Mr. Cochran graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
