Mr. Proctor is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than three decades of experience providing valuation and related advisory services. Mr. Proctor currently focuses on serving hedge funds, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors, as well as corporate clients and family offices. In addition to his expertise in valuing business enterprises and related equity and debt securities, he also specializes in the valuation of alternative asset managers—both management and carry vehicles. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Proctor’s experience includes providing solvency opinions, fairness opinions, and other transaction-related advice. He has provided services in connection with corporate transactions (including change of control, recapitalizations, and spinoffs), corporate planning and management compensation, advising private companies and their owners on shareholder liquidity issues, and corporate and estate tax planning.
Mr. Proctor has been involved in advising many of the firm’s largest clients, including Blackstone, Oaktree, Goldman Sachs, NYSE Euronext, The Walt Disney Company, Fortress Investment Group, MetLife, Sumitomo, and Eli Lilly & Co.
Mr. Proctor holds a B.A. in Economics and International Relations and an M.S. in Economics from Lehigh University.
