Ms. Bucanac is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. She specialises in the valuation of illiquid and complex assets for prominent institutional investors, including hedge funds, private equity, and private credit funds. Ms. Bucanac is based in the firm’s London office.
Ms. Bucanac advises financial sponsors and institutional investors on valuations for financial reporting and transaction purposes. Her expertise includes portfolio valuation, business enterprise valuations, and fund opinion mandates across various geographies and asset classes. While her expertise spans multiple asset classes, she has deep sector experience in industrials, business services, and consumer goods.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Bucanac was a Senior Associate in Kroll’s (formerly Duff & Phelps) London office within the Valuation Advisory team. She began her career at Deloitte LLP in London, where she completed a graduate training programme in financial audit, specialising in infrastructure, business services, and real estate.
Ms. Bucanac holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Economics (graduating summa cum laude) from the University of Zagreb, as well as an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a member of the ICAEW’s Corporate Finance Faculty. Additionally, Ms. Bucanac is a member of 100 Women in Finance.
