Ms. Sharkey is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group. She is based in the firm’s London office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Sharkey was an investment consultant to real estate funds and private equity funds. She was formerly a Managing Director at Castlelake London, where she was responsible for managing individual corporate credit investments in the U.K. and Western Europe. Prior to joining Castlelake, Ms. Sharkey was a Managing Director at Carval Investors, focused on European investment opportunities. Before joining Carval, she spent eight years at Citigroup, most recently as a senior salesperson covering key European and U.S. distressed investors. Ms. Sharkey also previously served as Head of Research for the European arm of Citigroup’s Global Special Situations Group, an internal buyside fund. She began her career in 1997, with Merrill Lynch sellside specializing in investing in European distressed companies.
Ms. Sharkey earned a BA International degree in Economics from University College Dublin.
