Mr. Forshaw is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Capital Solutions, Europe, in Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Solutions Group. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Mr. Forshaw joined the firm in December 2016, following a 25-year career at Deutsche Bank, where he held various roles, most recently serving as Managing Director in the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets team. He was responsible for a broad range of capital markets activities, including the origination, structuring, and execution of large-cap, sub-investment-grade financings, as well as crossover/IPO loan-related financings, and related interest rate, currency, and cross-border risk structuring.
Since starting the Houlihan Lokey European team in January 2017, Mr. Forshaw has overseen the team’s growth to more than 85 personnel in Europe, spanning debt and equity raising capabilities across the leveraged, infrastructure, and real estate financing sectors. The team now routinely closes more than 75 transactions in Europe annually. Mr Forshaw collaborates closely on transactions with Houlihan Lokey’s No.-1-ranked Financial Restructuring Group (according to LSEG, formerly Refinitiv, 2024 Global Distressed Debt & Bankruptcy Restructuring Ranking).
Over his career, Mr. Forshaw has helped lead some of the largest ever LBOs executed in the EMEA region, as well as some of the largest infrastructure transactions arranged in Europe. He has served as both a left lead and a lead financial advisor on high-profile, large-scale financings.
