Arun Reddy
Managing Director Head of Middle East and Africa, Special Situations and Real EstateMr. Reddy is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, where he has executed complex financings and recapitalizations. He was originally based in the firm’s London office until founding the Dubai office in 2017. Mr. Reddy also sits on the firm’s Management Committee. He is based in the firm’s Dubai office.
Mr. Reddy has advised a number of large complex matters across developed and emerging/frontier markets as well as a range of industries/sectors, including Arcapita (private equity, Bahrain), Adeem (automotive, Kuwait), Abraaj (private equity, UAE), Bounty Brands (consumer brands, South Africa), BorsodChem (packaging, Hungary), En+ Group (UC Rusal Aluminum, Russia), Cell-C (Telkom, South Africa), CMA CGM (shipping, France), AHAB (holding company, KSA), AfriSam (cement, South Africa), Peermont (gaming, South Africa), TMD Friction (automotive supplier, Germany), VisioCorp (automotive supplier, Germany), Dometic (RV supplier, Sweden), Edcon (retailer, South Africa), Dana Gas (petrochemicals, UAE), OSN (cable, UAE), Oger Telekom (Türk Telekom, Turkey), Oasis (automotive and real estate, Jersey), Saudi Bin Laden (construction and real estate, KSA), The Investment Dar (Aston Martin, Kuwait), and FransBonhomme (building materials, France).
Mr. Reddy has also arranged special situation financing for Arabian Centres Company ($3 billion, KSA), Five Hotels ($200 million, UAE), OSN ($75 million, UAE), Aston Martin ($100 million preferred equity, U.K.), and Fashion Retail ($150 million, KSA), as well as completion financing for a number of real estate projects within emerging markets, which include Marina 101 (UAE), Imperial Avenue (UAE), and Emirates REIT (UAE).
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Reddy worked in leveraged finance at J.P. Morgan in London and was an Economic Policy Advisor to the Governor of Illinois as a James H. Dunn Fellow.
Mr. Reddy holds a B.S. with honors from the University of Illinois, where he also played NCAA Division I tennis and served as a voting member of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. He also holds an M.S. in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics.
