Mr. Brooks is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas Group. He joined the firm in 2020 with more than a decade of combined corporate and investment banking experience, the last eight of which were spent in the energy industry. Mr. Brooks is based in the firm’s Houston office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Brooks spent nearly two years as Senior Vice President of Finance at Lilis Energy, where he was responsible for the corporate finance, business development, and treasury functions within a public, NYSE American-listed exploration and production company operating in the Permian Basin. Before that, he spent just over six years in roles of increasing responsibility within the Capital One Energy Investment Banking Group, advising E&P, midstream, and OFS clients on capital markets and strategic transactions. Mr. Brooks began his career in finance at Coastal Securities, where he provided financing solutions to a wide variety of municipal issuers.
Mr. Brooks holds a B.S. in Business with a minor in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
