Mr. Richardson is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory (FVA) Energy and Infrastructure practice, as well as a senior member of the firm’s Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory Services practice. He specializes in advising a diverse base of alternative asset investors, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, business development companies, limited partner investors, and corporations, on valuing illiquid securities throughout the capital structure. Mr. Richardson is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Mr. Richardson has more than 15 years of valuation and corporate finance experience. He has valued a wide range of businesses and illiquid securities across numerous industries for various purposes, including M&A transactions, financial reporting, tax, and restructuring.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Richardson was a Director at Duff & Phelps and part of the company’s Portfolio Valuation service line. Prior to that, he was a Financial Analyst at Grail Partners, where he worked on sellside and buyside M&A advisory engagements and was a deal team member for multiple private equity investments out of the firm’s dedicated, high-net-worth private equity fund. Additionally, he was responsible for monitoring and valuing portfolio companies and their underlying securities.
Mr. Richardson holds a B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College.
