Mr. Van Pelt is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He provides portfolio valuations of illiquid debt, equity, and derivative investments for a variety of hedge fund, private equity, business development company, and financial institution clients. Mr. Van Pelt is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Van Pelt worked as a Supervisor at Vallit Advisors, where he provided business and securities valuations for estate and gift tax, shareholder transitions, purchase price allocations, ESOPs, M&A advisory, and financial reporting purposes. In addition, he has experience consulting on complex litigation matters, including intellectual property infringement, contract disputes, trade secrets, commercial damages, shareholder oppression, and lost profits.
Mr. Van Pelt holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, where he also majored in Applied Mathematics.
