Mr. Nuñez is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory service offering, with more than a decade of experience. He is dedicated to providing the firm’s strategic and financial sponsor clients with accounting and financial reporting advisory services in conjunction with private and public market M&A transactions, IPOs, direct listings, SPAC transactions, divestitures, and financial restructurings. Mr. Nuñez is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
As part of Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, Mr. Nuñez’s role involves being a liaison between client teams and project teams, coordinating meetings, generating insights, and communicating progress throughout the engagement.
Mr. Nuñez has advised on several M&A, divestiture, and capital markets transactions for pre-IPO and publicly traded companies, delivering pragmatic and solution-orientated advice associated with deal-related technical accounting and financial reporting topics, including asset impairments, capitalized software, revenue recognition, purchase accounting, stock based compensation, leases, financial instruments, debt and equity financings, consolidation, carve-outs, SEC reporting, GAAP/IFRS accounting, public company readiness, and execution processes.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Nuñez held roles at EY, PwC, Sony, and Deloitte. He also has experience working with companies in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Mr. Nuñez holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Guadalajara and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California.
