Mr. Hartwick is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group, focusing on private equity, hedge fund, and multi-asset fund coverage. He also assists the firm in supporting collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs). He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Hartwick was a Vice President for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors’ liquid credit strategies, where he was responsible for leveraged loan and high-yield bond investments across the technology and healthcare sectors. He was an early employee with the liquid credit platform and helped launch its CLO strategy. Before joining the liquid credit platform, Mr. Hartwick was an Associate for the firm’s growth private equity strategy, where he was responsible for identifying and analyzing direct investment opportunities in lower-middle-market technology companies. He began his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Analyst in the firm’s Investment Banking division.
Mr. Hartwick graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in History from Colgate University. While there, he was a member of the town of Hamilton’s Volunteer Fire Department.
