Mr. Kolasa is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group, focusing on sports, media, and entertainment (SME). He is responsible for M&A advisory, special committee representation, strategic alternatives, fairness and solvency opinions, and the valuation of public and private closely held companies. Mr. Kolasa’s former clients include Fortune 100 corporations, public and private companies, sponsors, family-owned businesses, and startup ventures. In addition, his transaction advisory experience includes M&A due diligence for both strategic and financial buyers. Mr. Kolasa is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Kolasa has worked extensively with leading SME companies, such as 21st Century Fox, AEG Worldwide, Concord Music, Conde Nast, Endeavor (now WME Group), Gray Media, Gersh, Golden Globes, Hasbro, Lionsgate, MGM (now Amazon MGM Studios), Kobalt Music, ION Media, Relativity Media, Reddit, SESAC, Sony Pictures, TKO, Topps Corp., Univision, Warner Brothers Discovery, and Wasserman (now The Team). He has also worked with numerous professional sports franchises across the MLB, MLS, NBA, NHL, NFL, IPL, various European football clubs, and emerging sports properties and leagues. Mr. Kolasa has extensive experience with intellectual property and has served numerous sponsors.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Kolasa worked at Deloitte Advisory as a Senior Consultant, where he served clients in various industries, including TMT, aerospace and defense, biotechnology, and real estate.
Mr. Kolasa holds a B.S. in Business Administration, Finance, and Economics from the University of Connecticut. He is a CFA charterholder and a CPA (inactive) in the state of Connecticut.
