Mr. Brock is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group, focusing on M&A and financing transactions in construction & building materials (C&BM). His coverage includes key sectors such as heavyside materials, lightside building products, coatings and building chemicals, distribution/wholesaling, engineering services, and housebuilding. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Mr. Brock’s advisory experience includes transactions totalling approximately €100 billion across M&A, ECM, and DCM, with deals in all relevant C&BM subsectors and for both strategics and financial sponsors. His heavyside experience includes HeidelbergCement’s acquisition of Hanson as well as a series of debt and equity transactions for HC. He has also acted for both Holcim and Lafarge and for Votorantim. Mr. Brock has extensive experience in building products, with transactions for companies such as Wienerberger, Polypipe, Icopal, Corialis, Xella, and many more. In distribution, he has advised CVC on the purchase of Ahlsell as well as a number of transactions for Wolseley. In E&C, Mr. Brock worked on both the purchase and sale of Spie for PAI and undertook transactions for the likes of Strabag, Bilfinger, Hochtief, and Keller. In the housebuilding space, he has advised companies such as Miller Homes, Bovis, and McCarthy & Stone.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Brock was Head of C&BM at Jefferies, where he covered a wide number of clients in EMEA and the US. Prior to Jefferies, he headed the building sector coverage at Deutsche Bank for seven years. Before banking, Mr. Brock was an equity research analyst, covering all major European names, and was top-three ranked in both Institutional Investor and Extel surveys.
Mr. Brock graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with a BA (Hons) and an MA in Economics.
