Mr. DeFronzo is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory Services practice within the firm’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He specializes in GP stakes valuation and alternative asset manager advisory, and his work spans management company enterprise value, fee-related earnings, and carried interest, as well as portfolio valuation for hedge funds, private equity funds, and direct lending funds. Mr. DeFronzo also has experience valuing illiquid debt, equity, and complex securities for financial reporting purposes, and advises across M&A, restructuring, and fairness opinion engagements. He is based in the firm’s Boston office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. DeFronzo was a Vice President in Teknos Associates’ valuation practice, and before that, an Associate in Grant Thornton’s Complex Financial Instruments Group. He began his career in fund administration and equity research roles at Eaton Vance, State Street, and Wolfe Research.
Mr. DeFronzo holds a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is a CFA charterholder, an Accredited Senior Appraiser in business valuation, and is Accredited in Business Valuation.
