Mr. Preiser is Vice Chairman of Houlihan Lokey. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors of Houlihan Lokey and serves on the boards of various Houlihan Lokey subsidiaries and entities. Mr. Preiser helps lead the firm’s strategy worldwide across all business segments. He also serves as Chairman of Houlihan Lokey Europe, with a focus on continuing the successful growth of the firm’s European businesses. With offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Madrid, the firm is a substantial participant in some of the largest and most significant financial transactions in Europe.
Mr. Preiser has played a major role in the firm’s financial restructuring activities in the United States. During his more than three decades at Houlihan Lokey, he led numerous important transactions involving the restructuring and/or sale of financially distressed companies and assets, both in bankruptcy and out-of-court situations.
Mr. Preiser graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia. He also earned a J.D. with honors from Columbia University, where he served as an editor of the Columbia Law Review and was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Mr. Preiser currently sits on the board of directors of NVR, Inc., and is a member of its Executive, Nominating and Governance Committees. He is also a member of the board of directors and Executive Committee of Ronald McDonald House of New York and chairs the Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Preiser is an active member of the New York UJA/Wall Street Division Strategic Council and other UJA committees.
