Mr. Roberts is a Managing Director and member of Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group, where his primary responsibilities include providing investment banking, valuation, and financial opinion services to private equity firms and professional investors based in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has more than 15 years of experience in acquisitions, divestitures, corporate strategy, capital formation, and legislative and regulatory matters. Mr. Roberts is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Roberts was a Principal of the Hunter Group, a Washington, D.C.–based consulting firm specializing in outsourced corporate development. Before that, he was the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Inforum Communications, a Denver-based publicly traded telecommunications holding company, where he was instrumental in the company’s legal and M&A business and was responsible for all strategic planning. He also co-managed Inforum’s fundraising efforts and its acquisition activities (11 acquisitions and 42,000 customers). Earlier, he worked for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, advising senior staff and members of Congress on telecommunications issues.
Mr. Roberts is a graduate of Cornell University and the National Law Center at George Washington University. He is a member of the bar in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
