Mr. Sherman is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Markets Group. He focuses on raising growth equity, structured equity, venture debt, and other customized equity and debt capital solutions for the firm’s corporate and sponsor-backed clients. Use of proceeds include growth capital, acquisition financing, balance sheet recapitalizations, restructurings, and other corporate initiatives. Mr. Sherman is based in the firm's New York office.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Sherman worked in the Capital Structure Advisory group at Raymond James & Associates, where he focused on debt and equity capital raises for corporate clients across a variety of industries, as well as in-court and out-of-court restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and other buyside and sellside engagements. Prior to that, he was an investment professional at White Oak Global Advisors in San Francisco, managing existing portfolio investments including follow-on fundings, restructurings, and exits. Earlier, Mr. Sherman worked at Wells Fargo & Company in the bank’s Credit Resolution Group in San Francisco, managing high-risk loans to corporate clients across a variety of industries.
Mr. Sherman graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. from the College of William & Mary, where he also earned a master’s degree in Accounting. He is a CFA charterholder.
