Mr. Mato Martiarena is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group based in Madrid.
Mr. Mato Martiarena covers the Spanish market and has worked on a broad range of financial restructuring and distressed and litigious engagements, working for debtors, creditors, shareholders, and new-money providers in both in-court and out-of-court processes. His experience includes Abengoa (II and III); Celsa Group; Codere II; Dentix; Grupo DIA; Elsamex; Eurona (I and II); Grupo Gallardo Balboa; Lecta (I and II); Naviera Armas; Grupo OHL; Reyal Urbis; Riofisa; Spanish Toll Roads; and TP Ferro.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Mato Martiarena worked in the Corporate Finance team at Banco Espírito Santo, participating in a variety of M&A transactions and independent valuations. He has also worked at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Mato Martiarena holds a BBA from Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF).
