Mr. Baker is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Healthcare Group and co-leads the firm’s Healthcare Technology practice. He has more than two decades of transaction experience. He is based in the firm's Dallas office.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Baker has closed more than 60 transactions—including sellside and buyside M&A, debt and equity capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments for public and private companies—and completed successful transactions across all subsectors in healthcare technology, including benefits technology; governance, risk, compliance, and productivity solutions; patient intake and engagement; revenue cycle management; specialty practice management and EHR software; virtual care; and chronic care management, among others.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Baker spent nearly nine years at Canaccord Genuity, where he was Head of Digital & Tech-Enabled Health Investment Banking. Before that, he led the HCIT practice at Avondale Partners, a healthcare boutique investment bank, and was Vice President in Corporate Finance at Morgan Joseph. Before investment banking, Mr. Baker held positions in private equity for a subsidiary of Kinnevik AB and corporate development.
Mr. Baker holds a B.A. from Rhodes College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
