Mr. Reader is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s FinTech Group and has more than a decade of experience advising FinTech and financial services firms. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reader has advised on a range of transactions, including sales, acquisitions, capital raises, and fairness opinions. Notable transaction experience includes advising Atalaya on its investment into Allica Bank; the sale of ENRA to Elliott Advisors; the sale of Goodbody Stockbrokers to Allied Irish Banks; the sale of Optimum Credit to Pepper Money; the sale of Asset Alliance to Arbuthnot Bank; the sale of Klap B.V. to Ardonagh Group; TA Associates’ investment into MRH Trowe; the sale of Bionic to OMERS; and the sale of Penguin Portals (including Confused.com) to RVU.
Previously, Mr. Reader was an Associate at Quayle Munro prior to its acquisition by Houlihan Lokey in 2018. While there, he advised on the capital raise by Masthaven from Värde Partners as well as the sale of BIK Brokers to Pollen Street Capital. Prior to that, Mr. Reader worked at Fenchurch Advisory Partners and KPMG.
Mr. Reader graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics.
