Mr. Melendez-Lluch is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Real Estate, Lodging & Leisure Group, which specializes in M&A advisory, capital raising, and other strategic advisory assignments for various types of real estate and leisure-related companies. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Melendez-Lluch’s notable transaction experience includes industrial property acquisitions, hospitality mezzanine financing, out-of-court rescue capital financing, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Melendez-Lluch was a member of South Korea’s largest financial group, Mirae Asset, where he executed commercial real estate investments across product type and capital structure. His responsibilities included deal underwriting, leading transaction execution and investment committee approval processes, and general business development.
Previously, Mr. Melendez-Lluch was a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, where he focused on advising clients on investment sales and arranging debt and equity capital. Mr. Melendez-Lluch began his career as a CPA in PwC’s Banking Capital Markets Group. Additionally, he has participated as a panelist at the following conferences: Meet the Money 2019, Commercial Observer’s LA Finance Forum 2019, and Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Hospitality Group COVID-19 Webinar Series 2020.
Mr. Melendez-Lluch holds a B.S. in Accounting and a B.A. in Finance from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
