Mr. Schaffer is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group, where he focuses on metals and engineered materials transactions. He has executed a range of deals, including sellside and buyside M&A, debt and equity financings, and fairness opinions. Mr. Schaffer is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Mr. Schaffer’s notable transactions include the sale of Astro Shapes to Wynnchurch; the sale of NOV Inc.’s Ameron Pole Products business to Arcosa; the sale of International Wire to Olympus Partners; the sale of Steel Industries to Forged Solutions; the sale of Merfish United to Reliance Steel & Aluminum; the sale of Momentum Manufacturing Group to One Equity Partners; the sale of 3M’s gas and flame detection business to Teledyne Technologies; the sale of American Pacific Corp. to AE Industrial Partners; the sale of Innocor to Bain Capital; the sale of Aloha Petroleum to Sunoco; the sale of United Oil to Fortress; the sale of Agrifos to Rentech Nitrogen Partners; and financings for Orion Steel, American Piping Products, Mercer International, PaperWorks, and TNT Crane.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Schaffer worked at Macquarie Capital.
Mr. Schaffer holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
