Mr. García-Ginovart is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, covering the Spanish market in a number of creditor- and debtor-side and in-court and out-of-court restructuring transactions as well as distressed engagements. He is based in the firm’s Madrid office.
Mr. García-Ginovart’s experience in complex transactions and restructurings includes Abengoa (2017, 2019, and ongoing; The Banker Deal of the Year in Europe, 2018), Adveo, Aldesa, Bodybell, Celsa, Cementos Balboa, Codere (2017 and 2021; The Banker Deal of the Year in Europe, 2017), DIA, Elsamex, Eroski, Eurona (2018 and 2020), Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, General de Alquiler de Maquinaria (2013 and 2014), Grupo Gallardo Balboa, Haya Real Estate, Justo y Bueno Colombia, Lecta (February 2020 and July 2020), Marme Inversiones, Naviera Armas (2020 and 2022), OHL, Prisa, Pronovias, Reyal Urbis, Renewable Power International, and Riofisa.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. García-Ginovart worked within KPMG’s Corporate Finance team, participating in a variety of M&A transactions and independent valuations and working with companies such as Amper, Comsa, Fluidra, Gas Natural Fenosa, La Seda de Barcelona, and Spanair.
Mr. García-Ginovart holds an M.S. in Business from ESADE Business School and an MBA from INSEAD.
Mr. García-Ginovart has acted as Board Observer of Abengoa (listed Spanish construction company with international presence) appointed by the Senior Old Money. He also collaborates as a guest speaker with IE Business School (Turnaround Strategy) and Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (Restructuring course).
