Managing Director Co-Head of Structured Products

Mr. Malcolm is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business and Co-Head of Structured Products. His area of expertise is the provision of valuation services related to the structured finance market, from public securitisation structures to bespoke private credit exposures. Mr. Malcolm is based in the firm’s London office.

Previously, Mr. Malcolm was the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Prytania Solutions Limited (PSL), a technology-focused structured products valuations company, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2024. As a founder of PSL, he was responsible for developing the strategy of the firm with the objective of becoming a best-in-class valuation services provider. Before that, Mr. Malcolm was a Managing Director at Dresdner Kleinwort, where he ran the securitised products trading and syndicate desk, covering mainly European asset classes and jurisdictions. While there, he was heavily involved in the development of new securitisation markets in countries such as Spain and Italy. 

Prior to joining Dresdner Kleinwort, Mr. Malcolm ran the asset-backed securities trading desk at HSBC, having spent several years in various risk management roles covering all aspects of fixed income and derivatives. At HSBC, he also co-authored a book on risk management, Derivatives: Optimal Risk Control, which was published by FT Pitman in 1999. 

Mr. Malcolm holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations (with Economics) from Coventry University and an MBA in Finance from Kingston University London.
