Mr. Asta is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Aerospace, Defense & Government practice. He possesses more than a decade of investment banking experience focused primarily on the government services and technology industry.
During his career, Mr. Asta has advised on more than 35 M&A, financing, and equity-raising transactions worth a collective $7 billion+ for a variety of public and private clients. He has worked with some of the largest strategic acquirers in the sector, including Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Leidos, Serco, and CACI as well as private equity groups, such as Macquarie, Permira, Veritas Capital, Arlington Capital Partners, and HIG.
Mr. Asta is regularly quoted in industry publications, such as Washington Technology and Washington Business Journal, and is featured as an expert on industry-focused panels and events. He also serves on the boards of several companies in the defense and government services ecosystem.
Previously, Mr. Asta was a Vice President at Bluestone Capital Partners. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in Oppenheimer & Co.’s Investment Banking division. While there, Mr. Asta worked on numerous M&A transactions, equity raises, and debt financing engagements.
Mr. Asta holds a dual B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
