Mr. Newman is a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Markets Group, focusing on raising debt and equity capital to support refinancings, recapitalizations, restructurings, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and growth capital initiatives, as well as advising companies on a wide range of capital structure matters. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Newman co-led the Alternative Capital Markets Group at both Sagent Advisors and UBS. Before specializing in private financings, he was a Director in TMT investment banking at UBS, where he executed financings across the bank, bond, asset-backed, convertible, and equity markets, as well as advised companies on mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Newman holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University.
