Ms. Cheng is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Fund Opinions practice and currently serves on the Financial and Valuation Advisory Executive Committee. She has nearly three decades of experience advising both private and public clients on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and capital-raising transactions, addressing complex corporate governance issues, particularly in related-party transactions. Ms. Cheng is based in the firm’s New York office.
Ms. Cheng provides valuation, fairness, solvency, and other transaction-based opinion services and is on the firm’s Fairness Opinions and Solvency Opinions review committees. Her clients include private equity funds, alternative asset managers, limited partners, corporations, and closely held family-owned businesses, and she advises boards of directors, special committees, and other fiduciaries in a wide variety of situations and industries.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Cheng was an Assistant Vice President at MBIA Asset Management, focusing on structured finance investments. Earlier, she served as a Corporate Relationship Manager at HSBC in Hong Kong.
Ms. Cheng received a B.B.A. with honors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Yale University. She also holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute.
