Mr. Nito is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance business and President of HL Succession Corporation. He has more than three decades of M&A advisory experience, including M&A financing and IPO projects. Mr. Nito primarily focuses on the food, chemical, retail, and logistics sectors and has led industry consolidation projects, including mergers and the restructuring of major food and retail companies. He has also advised on various domestic and cross-border M&A transactions from origination to execution. Mr. Nito is based in the firm’s Tokyo office.
Previously, Mr. Nito was President at GCA Succession Corporation, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to joining GCA in 2018, he was a Managing Director at Rothschild Japan, where he was responsible for domestic M&A. Before that, Mr. Nito worked at various esteemed financial institutions such as Daiwa Securities SMBC, Tokyo Star Bank, Nikko Securities, and Yamaichi Securities.
Mr. Nito has extensive experience advising small and medium-sized companies as well as venture companies for the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.
Mr. Nito holds a B.A. in Economics from Shinshu University.
