Mr. Oberlin is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group. He has broad experience in a wide range of sellside and buyside M&A transactions, having advised public and private companies pursuing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private capital transactions, and exclusive sale mandates. Previously, Mr. Oberlin was a member of the Aerospace, Defense & Government practice within the firm’s Industrials Group. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Oberlin worked as a Senior Associate at VantEdge Partners, a family office focused on consumer and business services investments in the middle-market space. Earlier, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst within the Restructuring and Special Situations group at Piper Sandler, participating in multiple sellside and buyside M&A transactions.
Mr. Oberlin holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also serves in the U.S. Army Reserves.
