Mr. Schmadel is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group. He focuses on packaging and process technologies, as well as the testing and measurement sector. He is based in the firm’s Frankfurt office.
Previously, Mr. Schmadel was a Director at GCA Altium, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to GCA, he was a Partner at Alantra, where he co-founded the firm’s German office and co-developed the Industrial Automation & Machinery sector franchise. Mr. Schmadel started his investment banking career at Sal. Oppenheim.
Mr. Schmadel holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Germany and also studied at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
