Mr. Araujo is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, with nearly a decade of diverse experience in various sectors and financial products. His expertise encompasses mergers and acquisitions, liability management, financial restructuring, and capital raising. Mr. Araujo is based in the firm’s São Paulo office.
Mr. Araujo has predominantly focused on Brazilian operations, with numerous cross-border engagements. Some previous notable transactions include PetroReconcavo's IPO and its attempted acquisition of Polo Bahia Terra; Eneva's purchase of Celse from New Fortress Energy and Ebrasil; Omega Geração's merger with Omega Desenvolvimento to form Omega Energia; Odebrecht Transport Liability Management; Natura Liability Management; and strategic capital raisings for Bresco and Solinftec.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Araujo spent almost eight years at Lazard, where he served as Vice President.
Mr. Araujo holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Escola de Economia de São Paulo at the Fundação Getulio Vargas.
