Mr. Julian is a Senior Advisor in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. During an investment banking career spanning more than three decades, he has advised clients on a broad range of transactions and services, including mergers, acquisitions, arranging private placements and debt and equity financing, liability management and financial restructuring, initial public offerings, private equity and special situations investments, fairness opinions, valuation, ESOPs, and litigation support.
Mr. Julian has advised numerous companies and other stakeholders in emerging market and European transactions (including extensive experience in transactions involving government stakeholders), such as Afrisam, Ahmad Hamad Al Gosaibi & Brothers, Alliance Bank, Arcapita, Aston Martin, Bank of Ireland, BTA Bank, International Oasis Holding Company, Independent News & Media PLC, Investment DAR, Ojer Telekomünikasyon, Orbit Showtime Network, Punch Taverns PLC, and WIND Hellas.
In addition, Mr. Julian has played a significant role in the management of various principal and special situations investment and private equity vehicles. This experience has included roles on the boards of private equity investments and portfolio companies, leading the process of preparing portfolio companies for potential exits via initial public offerings or M&A transactions, as well as overseeing consolidation, acquisition, and other activities for portfolio companies, including the merger of private companies and investments into publicly traded companies.
Mr. Julian holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
