Mr. Shin is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory practice within the firm’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than a decade of accounting experience spanning both public accounting and industry. As part of the practice, Mr. Shin advises clients on complex accounting matters, particularly in the public and private market M&A transactions. He is based in the firm’s Dallas office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Shin started his career as an auditor with EY, where he served a wide range of both public and private companies across industries and geographies. He then transitioned into industry, where he served as the Director of Technical Accounting as the U.S. GAAP technical expert at NexPoint, analyzing complex accounting structures and intermediating between management and its auditors.
Mr. Shin holds a B.B.A. and an MPA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a licensed CPA in Texas.
