Mr. Wepman is a Managing Director within Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group and leads the firm’s Front Office Software practice. He covers the software sector with a focus on enterprise applications, including CRM, enterprise resource planning, martech/marketing services, customer experience, retail/e-commerce software, contact center solutions, communications infrastructure, and data management. During his career, Mr. Wepman has advised numerous leading public and private companies and financial sponsor clients on a variety of transactions, including strategic acquisitions, majority and minority investments, public and private equity and debt offerings, leveraged buyouts, corporate divestitures, and going/take-privates across the North American and European technology landscape. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Previously, Mr. Wepman was a Managing Director at GCA Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to GCA, he was a member of the Technology, Media & Telecom group at Jefferies & Co. in Boston, where he worked with software and internet clients on M&A and strategic advisory assignments as well as public and private financings. Before his career in investment banking, Mr. Wepman worked in the business development group at AOL and as a corporate attorney in New York City.
Over the course of his investment banking career, Mr. Wepman’s clients have included Piano Software, Allocadia, 4C Insights, Maven Networks, MapInfo, Blucora, Operative, Bazaarvoice, DataXu, CrowdTwist, and SourceFire as well as leading investors, including Updata Partners, Warburg Pincus, Susquehanna, Edison Partners, SoftBank, Bertelsmann, FTV, and Francisco Partners. He has completed transactions with industry leaders such as Oracle, Google, Yahoo, Pitney Bowes, Telstra, Verint, and Mediaocean, among others.
Mr. Wepman holds an A.B. in Political Science from Tufts University and a J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
