Mr. Sudeep is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s FinTech Group and leads its efforts in the payments sector. He has an extensive background in FinTech and TMT investment banking. Throughout his career, Mr. Sudeep has advised CEOs, CFOs, and boards of directors on sellside and buyside transactions in addition to a variety of corporate finance matters. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Sudeep was a Managing Director at Moelis & Co., where he advised clients in the FinTech and software sectors on M&A and capital-raising transactions. Before that, he was a Senior Vice President at Jefferies, where he was instrumental in building the firm’s FinTech investment banking practice, advising public and private FinTech companies and financial sponsors on M&A, as well as capital-raising and leveraged financing transactions. Earlier, Mr. Sudeep was a Vice President at Duff & Phelps, where he was a key team member in launching the TMT investment banking practice. Before investment banking, he worked at IBM for nearly 10 years as a software engineer within the company’s Research and Microelectronics divisions.
Mr. Sudeep holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated as a Kozmetsky Scholar.
