Mr. Singh is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory service offering, with more than 15 years of experience. He provides the firm’s strategic and financial sponsor clients with accounting and financial reporting advisory services in conjunction with private and public market M&A transactions, IPOs, direct listings, SPAC transactions, debt and equity offerings, spin-offs, and divestitures. Mr. Singh is based in the firm’s New York office.
As part of Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, Mr. Singh’s role includes working closely with executives and project teams to support clients on a wide range of transactions across the capital markets spectrum, both pre- and post-close, with a focus on accounting and SEC reporting matters. He assists clients in drafting registration statements and offering memoranda, supporting periodic reporting on Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and managing ongoing SEC compliance matters, including Form 8-K filings. Mr. Singh also partners with clients on public company readiness and execution processes, ensuring high-quality financial statements and disclosures that meet regulatory requirements for both domestic and international transactions.
Mr. Singh has advised on numerous M&A and capital markets transactions for both strategic and financial buyers, both domestically and internationally, delivering pragmatic and solution-oriented advice related to technical accounting and financial reporting topics. His deep technical knowledge covers a wide range of accounting areas, including, but not limited to, purchase accounting, pro forma financial statements, GAAP conversions, revenue recognition, segment reporting, consolidations, and SEC reporting requirements for all filings. Mr. Singh previously held roles in PwC’s Deals practice and also served as a Director in PwC’s U.S. National Office—SEC Services Group, where he advised both domestic and foreign private issuers on complex accounting and SEC reporting issues.
Mr. Singh holds a B.Com. Rationum with majors in Financial Accounting, Tax, Auditing, Management Accounting, Business Management, and Economics, as well as an Honors degree in Accounting, from Nelson Mandela University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and a licensed Chartered Accountant in South Africa.
