Mr. Skirbe is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group. He has extensive experience in TMT investment banking, primarily in advising founders, CEOs, CFOs, and boards of directors on strategic and capital markets alternatives. Mr. Skirbe focuses on the cybersecurity sector, which he has covered over the past decade, and has led thought leadership and research initiatives across the ecosystem. He is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Skirbe was an entrepreneur and founded Momentum Cyber, the industry’s first and only investment bank exclusively focused on the cybersecurity sector. Before that, he was a founding member of Bridge Street Advisors, a boutique mergers and acquisitions and strategic advisory firm focused on the Software sector. Earlier in his career, Mr. Skirbe held investment banking positions at Bear Stearns, FT Partners, and SG Cowen.
Mr. Skirbe started his career on Wall Street at NationsBank/Bank of America in the Asset-Backed Securitizations and Global Debt Private Placement Groups. He was also a founder and served as Chief Operating Officer of Orbis Payment Services, a merchant services startup.
Mr. Skirbe holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University.
