Mr. Ker is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. His professional experience consists of various M&A tax consulting services, which include buyside and sellside tax due diligence, tax structuring, integration consulting, tax attribute studies, tax modeling, sale projections, transaction cost analyses, and transaction tax compliance (e.g., for partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations). Mr. Ker is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Mr. Ker has advised private equity and strategic buyers and sellers across industries during their acquisitions and exit processes. He also recently presented with the Association for Corporate Growth on the prospects of tax reform under the Biden administration (e.g., the Build Back Better Act) and its possible impact to the M&A landscape and the U.S. economy.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Ker spent nine years in public accounting as a member of M&A tax consulting groups in Chicago, with a focus in middle-market deal flow in his most recent role.
Mr. Ker holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance and an M.S. in Accountancy from Indiana University Bloomington, where he graduated with distinction. He is a member of the ILCPA and AICPA.
