Marcus Bellows

Vice President

Mr. Bellows is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Since joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Bellows has been involved in a wide range of in-court and out-of-court restructurings, liability management transactions, and distressed M&A situations, working on behalf of both debtors and creditors. His primary focus is on distressed and special situations in the oil & gas industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream, and offshore drilling. Publicly disclosed engagements include Applied Natural Gas Fuels, Bennu Oil & Gas, Endeavour International, Midstates Petroleum, OSX-2, Pacific Drilling, Quicksilver Resources, Sabine Oil & Gas, Schahin Oil & Gas, Triangle USA Petroleum, Odebrecht Oil & Gas, and Queiroz Galvão Oil & Gas. He also has experience on various assignments in the industrials, retail, gaming, and shipping industries.

Mr. Bellows has over eight years of investment banking and credit experience. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, he structured venture debt for early-stage technology and life science companies at Square 1 Bank. He began his career at Chestnut Partners, a boutique investment banking advisory firm and merchant bank.

Mr. Bellows holds a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
