Mr. Dörflinger is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas Group and has extensive experience in the energy sector, including M&A deals in Europe, Africa, and Latin America. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Dörflinger worked as a Vice President in the Oil and Gas team at Hannam & Partners. Previously, he worked in the Corporate Finance team at Santander, where he focused on M&A and debt advisory transactions.
Notable mandates before joining the firm include advising Maurel & Prom on the acquisition of Assala Energy (government preemption) and the acquisition of 61% operating interest in the Sinu-9 gas license in Colombia. He has also advised on multiple U.K.-listed public takeovers.
At Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Dörflinger advised an ad hoc group of Tullow Oil bondholders on the restructuring of the company’s $1.285 billion senior secured notes.
Mr. Dörflinger holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben and an MSc in Management from London Business School.
