Mr. Miyamoto is an Advisory Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance business. He has approximately 30 years of experience in M&A and finance, principally in the industrials sector. Mr. Miyamoto is based in the firm’s Tokyo office.
Previously, Mr. Miyamoto was a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of GCA Corporation, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to joining GCA, he spent 11 years at Mizuho Securities, where he led general industry sector coverage and originated a number of major M&A and equity financing deals. Part of this effort included establishing the investment banking division in Chubu, which brought Mizuho Securities several financing and M&A mandates from major corporates in the Chubu area, including Toyota group companies. In 2014, Mr. Miyamoto took on the position of Mizuho Securities’ Senior Managing Officer/Head of Global Investment Banking Business. He played a key role in helping Mizuho Securities achieve and maintain its leading position in the M&A and financing league tables.
After starting his career as a corporate coverage banker at a major Japanese securities house (Yamaichi Securities), Mr. Miyamoto joined Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he gained experience in the origination and execution of equity financing as well as domestic and cross-border M&A.
Mr. Miyamoto holds a B.A.from the Faculty of Commerce, Kansai University.
