Mr. Dodd is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory service offering, with more than two decades of experience. He is dedicated to providing the firm’s strategic and financial sponsor clients with accounting and financial reporting advisory services in conjunction with private and public market M&A, strategic alliances, divestitures, and financial restructurings. Mr. Dodd is based in the firm’s New York office.

As part of Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, Mr. Dodd’s role includes giving insights on accounting and financial reporting matters involving U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international GAAP matters; providing practical advice in the drafting of purchase and sale agreements, offering memoranda, credit agreements, registration statements, and other financial reporting matters; and assisting clients in executing domestic and international transactions.

Mr. Dodd has executed on several deals and capital markets projects for both strategic companies and financial buyers, delivering specific advice related to technical accounting and financial reporting deal-related topics, carve-out methodology, purchase accounting, public company disclosures, and GAAP/IFRS difference identification and adjustments. During his time in the industry, he has led teams in implementing ongoing financial reporting processes, considerations, and controls around private debt placements, registration statements, public filings, private company financial statements as well as serving in a project management capacity around the creation of offering memorandum, registration statements, term sheets, and indentures.

Mr. Dodd graduated with a first class degree with honors from the University of Leeds, earning a B.S. in Management Studies and Mathematics. He is a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales as well as a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Project Management Professional.
