Mr. Swain is Head of Direct Placements and Secondaries within Houlihan Lokey’s Private Funds Group. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Previously, Mr. Swain was the Global CEO at Triago, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2024. As Global CEO, he oversaw the secondary direct and primary practices. Formerly, Mr. Swain co-led the Americas, introducing primary directs and GP-led transactions to the platform. Prior to Triago, he spent several years at Eaton Partners, a Stifel subsidiary. While there, Mr. Swain worked across business lines in project management and execution. He also helped lead Eaton’s origination and execution initiatives with family offices and registered investment advisors.
Mr. Swain holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Economics from Colgate University.
