Mr. Bertolatus is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Power & Utilities Group. He is based in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Bertolatus has worked on a variety of transactions in the conventional and renewable power space, including advising I Squared Capital on the sale of a portfolio of contracted renewable assets, the sale of Coso Geothermal to Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure, Panasonic on its divestiture of an investment in Coronal Energy, Macquarie’s sale of an interest in the Antelope Valley Station, and Intermountain Wind’s sale of the Boswell Springs Wind Farm to Alterra Power. He has successfully closed transactions involving wind, solar, landfill gas, geothermal, natural gas, coal, and nuclear power across every ISO in the U.S.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Bertolatus was a founding member of Geronimo Energy, a full-service renewable energy developer based in Minnesota. While there, he focused on corporate development and project finance and was involved in executing both the firm’s strategic partnership with Enel Green Power and the acquisition of more than 2,000 MW of development assets from third parties. Before that, Mr. Bertolatus worked in private equity and traditional asset management for U.S. Bank in Minneapolis.

Mr. Bertolatus holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Management Studies from St. Olaf College and is a CFA charterholder.
