Mr. Botek is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Services Group, where he focuses on advising clients on M&A and capital-raising activities. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Mr. Botek’s notable transaction experience includes advising Newport Specialty Partners and Lovell Minnick Partners on their investment in Complex Coverage; NSM Insurance Group on the sale of its U.S. commercial insurance division to New Mountain Capital; Brycer on its strategic investment from TA Associates; TDC Life on its sale to EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants; THL Partners on its investment in YA Group; Strategic Risk Solutions on its partnership with Integrum; Patra Corporation on its growth investment from FTV Capital; Tokio Marine Kiln on its sale of Highland Insurance Solutions to Intact Financial Group; Liberty Mutual on its acquisition of State Auto Group; and NORCAL Group on its sale to ProAssurance Corporation, among others.
Previously, Mr. Botek was a Vice President at Waller Helms Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2024. Prior to joining Waller Helms Advisors, he worked at KeyBank in Cleveland and the United Kingdom Parliament’s House of Commons in London.
Mr. Botek holds a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. He serves on the board of directors for the M&T Foundation, a private non-operating charitable foundation based in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
