Michael Graham

Senior Vice President

Mr. Graham is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s national Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory team. As part of the Transaction Advisory Services practice, his role includes researching relevant guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting matters involving U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international GAAP matters that arise in the M&A process; analyzing and building financial models to client specifications; and assisting clients in debt and equity capital raises. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Mr. Graham joined Houlihan Lokey from Deloitte, where he worked on a variety of accounting and M&A-related engagements requiring carve-out implementation, issuer SEC filings, and the assessment of new accounting standard adoption impacts for Fortune 500 companies. While at Nuveen Investments, Mr. Graham owned several aspects of financial reporting, including GAAP financial statement preparation, goodwill and intangible impairment analysis, financial instrument fair valuation, consolidated fund and VIE analysis, and global consolidation procedures as a result of M&A activity and restructuring.

Mr. Graham holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with distinction. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2019 with concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Graham is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois and a member of the Chicago CFA Society.
