Mr. Pund is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Consumer Group. With more than two decades of transaction experience, he has advised on multiple M&A, capital markets, and advisory transactions in the consumer industry, with a specific focus on the outdoor, active lifestyle, and tactical sectors. Since 2005, Mr. Pund has advised on more than 50 transactions in the outdoor, active lifestyle, and tactical sectors. He is based in the firm’s Dallas office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Pund served as a Managing Director in the Consumer and Retail Group at Lazard Middle Market and as a Managing Director in the Consumer Group at D.A. Davidson & Co. Previously, he was a Co-Founding Partner and Managing Director at Silver Steep Partners, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the active/outdoor sector, which was sold to D.A. Davidson in 2010. Early in his career, Mr. Pund was a Vice President in the Consumer group at RBC Capital Markets and a Senior Analyst at Prudential Securities. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Intelligence Officer with NCIS, Special Operations Command Central, and the Pacific Fleet, among other command postings. Mr. Pund is a graduate of the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) School, the Combat Lifesaver Course, and the Navy Water Survival Course. Mr. Pund was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for outstanding service during his deployment under Operation Enduring Freedom.
Mr. Pund graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Bates College and received an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, where he graduated as an Edward C. Tuck scholar for outstanding academic achievement. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
